At Horizons we aim to be an organisation recognised for our expertise, innovation and leadership in making this Region a great place to live, work and play. One of the ways we do this is through our community grants programme.
This programme is designed to help community groups, schools, early childhood centres, and iwi/hapu groups with not-for-profit projects that enhance our Region or encourage more people to engage with our natural environment. By providing funding and advice we are able to support the great work these groups do while encouraging more people to think about the ways we interact with our natural environment.
Community grant applications are sought annually in February/March and guidelines have been developed to help determine whether your project could be eligible for a grant. Applications will be assessed for their environmental benefits, feasibility, community involvement and long-term benefits to the Region.
Applications open Wednesday 1 February 2012 and close 4pm Friday 30 March 2012.
