Don Linklater Memorial Bursary

2011 applications are now closed for the Don Linklater Memorial Bursary, offered to any student orginating from the Horizons Regional Council boundaries.

The Linklater Bursary aims to support students studying in areas relevant to the Councils work; in particular resource management, river and drainage engineering and enviromental planning.The bursary is for $3000 per year for up to three years.

Sustainable Land Use Scholarships

Applications are now open for our two Sustainable Land Use Scholarships, offered to students studying at Massey University, Palmerston North, in the areas of soil science and farm management.

Our Sustainable Land Use Initiative (SLUI) Scholarship for any applicable student is for full time students entering their undergraduate years of study, who want to study soil science and farm management as part of their degree. The scholarship is for a maximum of $2000 over the duration of one year.

Our Sustainable Land Use (SLU) Advanced Scholarship for Year 3 and postgraduate students is for students specialising their 300-level and postgraduate study in soil science, land use mapping, and land management. The scholarship is for a maximum of $10,000 over the course of one year.

Applications for both Sustainable Land Use scholarships close on 13 April 2012.
