Transferring, changing and surrendering resource consentsIf you are selling a property for which you have one or more resource consents, you can transfer them to the new owner or you can surrender them. Surrendering your Resource Consent If you are no longer undertaking the activity authorised by your resource consent you must surrender your consent in writing to the Regional Council Consents team. We may carry out a final inspection which you may be charged for. Making changes to a consentSection 127 of the RMA provides for applications to be made to change consent conditions. For example; to reduce or increase takes/discharges, removing monitoring conditions or adding new details.
