The Manawatu-Wanganui Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan has been developed with the vision to build a resilient and safer region with communities understanding and managing their hazards and risks. It is our aim to do this consistently in an accountable manner using best practice and supporting communities and agencies alike.

This structure is being used across New Zealand to improve consistency across CDEM Groups. Our central premise however is one of central co-ordination with local delivery.
