Discharge secondary treated municipal wastewater from the Rangataua Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Mangaehuehu Stream via a wetland, discharge secondary treated municipal wastewater into land which may enter groundwater through the base of the wastewater treatment ponds, and discharge odour and contaminants to air from the Rangataua Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Pursuant to Section 95A of the Resource Management Act 1991, notice is hereby given that the following application for resource consent has been received: Discharge Permit to Water - ATH-2014015558.00 This application is for resource consent to discharge secondary treated municipal wastewater to the Mangaehuehu Stream via a wetland at Dreadnought Road, Rangataua. Discharge Permit to Land that may enter water - ATH-2014015559.00 This application is for resource consent to discharge secondary treated municipal wastewater into land which may enter groundwater through the base of the wastewater treatment ponds at Dreadnought Road, Rangataua. Discharge to Air - ATH-2014015560.00 This application is for resource consent to discharge odour and contaminants to air from the Rangataua Wastewater Treatment Plant, Dreadnought Road, Rangataua. A term of 25 years is sought. Resource Consent No. APP-2017201547.00 will replace Resource Consent No. APP-1994006055.02 which expired on 20 December 2005.
The application and accompanying information may be viewed during the hours 8.15 am - 4.45 pm at the Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council situated at 11-15 Victoria Avenue, Palmerston North or at the Ruapehu District Council, 37 Ayr Street, Ohakune. Public submissions can be received up until November 25, 2020 12:00 PM
Submissions on the application must be received by the Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council on or before 4.45 pm Wednesday 25 November 2020. Submissions may be made in writing by any person and sent to Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council, Private Bag 11025, Manawatu Mail Centre, Palmerston North 4442 or can be sent via email to consent. submissions@horizons.govt.nz. You are also required to send a copy of your submission to the Applicant –Ruapehu District Council. The submission must include: 1. Details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission including reference number APP-2014016793.00. 2. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address. 3. Whether you support or oppose the application. 4. Whether you wish to be heard in respect of the submission. 5. The reasons for making the submission and the decision you wish the consent authority to make; 6. Be dated and signed by the person making the submission; and 7. A copy of every submission must be served on the applicant at the address below and to the Regional Council.
