Annual Plan 2019-20 Consultation

Last year Council undertook a comprehensive Long-term Plan (LTP) for 2018-28 that included details on planned work for the next three years. While we are planning to maintain the proposed 4.72 per cent average rate increase for Year 2 of the LTP (2019-20), we have had some unexpected costs, including a $300,000 increase in insurance expenses. We are covering these costs through some changes to our programmes of work. While we are able to manage the increased insurance costs for Year 2, it is important to note that these unexpected increases will impact Year 3.

We invite ratepayers to have a say on the work programmes and proposed scheme changes for Foxton, Makirikiri and Haunui as listed in the consultation document found below. Consultation opens Monday 25 February and submissions must be made by 5pm Monday 25 March 2019. You can have your say below using the online form, or if you wish to print off the submission form and fill it in by hand you can find a downloadable form at the bottom of this page.

Council is not holding public hearings this year, however should you wish to speak to your submission please let us know at and we will contact you to organise public speaking rights.
