and any associated damage to people, buildings and

and other physical resources of regional or national importance are avoided as far as reasonably practicable or otherwise remedied or mitigated, and
increased sedimentation in
water bodies^
as a result of human activity is avoided as far as reasonably practicable, or otherwise mitigated.
