Strategy & Policy Committee

This Committee is a committee of the whole Council and its permanent chair is the Council Chairperson or the Chairperson’s nominee.

The purpose of this Committee is to;

• Develop policy and plans as directed by Council, through the Committee itself, or through ad hoc subcommittees or working parties.
• Consider any issues allocated by Council for consideration;
• Enhance awareness and understanding of issues and trends relating to Council’s goal of ‘promoting the social, economic and cultural wellbeing of the people in the Region’;
• Considering and evaluating miscellaneous issues that have a regional, social or economic focus.
