Bus Alerts

103 104

The 103 and 104 services in Palmerston North will detour indefinitely due to heavy traffic not being able to use the Amberley Ave bridge over the Kawau stormwater culvert.

The 104 will travel along Clarke Ave, turn down Dalwood Grove and loop back onto Clarke Ave before heading along Monrad St, then Pencarrow St, where it will pick up the route as per normal.
The 103 will do the same, but in reverse.

We appreciate this means neither service will travel along Amberley Ave. The location of the bridge buses can no longer travel over meant we could not create a detour which still put the 103 and 104 along Amberley Ave.

All Palmerston North & Massey Services

From 4 March 2024 - Palmerston North and Ashhurst will see some big changes to the way the bus service operates from Monday, 4 March 2024. Routes will change to be more direct, operating through the key city corridors rather than meandering around the suburbs. The frequency will dramatically increase, while the fleet will be the first fully electric fleet in the country. The new network will see buses no longer go down some streets and begin going down others. All of the old bus routes will be replaced with new, frequent bus lines come 4 March 2024.
