Introduction

The Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council has received an application for consents associated with the operation of the Woodville Wastewater Treatment plant, near Troup Road West, Woodville.

General information

Application details

Resource consent is sought from Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council for the following activities:

  • Discharge to water permit to discharge tertiary treated wastewater to the Manga-atua Stream.
  • Discharge to air (principally odour), associated with the operation of the operation of the Woodville Wastewater Treatment Plant.
  • Discharge permit to discharge partially treated wastewater to land via seepage from pond one and maturation ponds.
  • Discharge permits to discharge tertiary wastewater to land where it may enter water via seepage from semi-permeable wetlands.
  • Landuse consent to undertake earthworks in excess of 2,500m2 to construct the wetlands.
A term expiring on 1 July 2043 is sought.

Public submissions can be received up until March 19, 2019 4:45 PM

Submissions may be made in writing by any person or can be sent via email to consent.submissions@horizons.govt.nz and followed with a signed hardcopy to Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council, Private Bag 11025, Manawatu Mail Centre, Palmerston North, 4442.
