Aerial spraying for Rangitīkei, Turakina, Whangaehu and Mangawhero rivers
21 January 2026 - 02:24 pmHorizons Regional Council hereby notifies river users and property owners adjacent to the aforementioned river schemes that aerial spraying will be carried out on selected gravel beaches and on willows encroaching riverbanks (Turakina and Whangaehu) between 1 February and 30 March 2026.

A letter notification will be sent to all affected parties before the commencement of spraying.
