Preliminary election results for Horizons Regional Council announced

Local body voting for Horizons’ Palmerston North constituency closed at 12 noon today and preliminary results are now available on Horizons Regional Council’s website.

Horizons electoral officer Craig Grant says that preliminary results includes all votes received up until 12 noon Friday 21 September.
 
“Today’s results will be posted on the Elections page of our website. The only votes to be counted now are the special votes,” says Mr Grant.
 
“A final declaration of results will be posted around Wednesday 26 September.
 
“The Palmerston North by-election has been held due to the passing of the late Cr Pat Kelly over Queen’s Birthday Weekend earlier this year.
 
“The successful candidate will be sworn into Council on 9 October 2018.”
