Temporary Service Change: Taihape to Whanganui

Horizons Regional Council’s bus service from Taihape to Whanganui will temporarily operate on Fridays rather than Thursdays commencing from 3 January 2020.
 

 Horizons Transport manager Phil Hindrup says the altered service is a result of the public holidays in January and February falling on Thursdays respectively.
 
“The January service will now run on Friday the 3^rd in lieu of Thursday the 2^nd, the day after New Year’s day. The February service will now run on Friday the 7^th in lieu of Thursday 6^th, which is Waitangi Day.
 
Mr Hindrup says with the two public holidays falling on a Thursday, it would have translated into two months without the Taihape to Whanganui service.
 
“This temporary service change will run for two months only - ending in March 2020. The Taihape to Palmerston North service will remain unaffected by this change. We would like to apologise in advance to anyone who is inconvenienced by these service changes.”
