Elections 2022

Tō tātou rohe – taiao ora, tangata ora, mauri ora. Our place – a healthy environment where people are thriving.

The most recent local government elections took place in October 2022.

Regional Council responsibilities

We play a core role in the management of the natural resources in the Manawatū-Whanganui Region - land, air, water and climate. This spans from water monitoring of freshwater across the region, to flood management, public transport, biodiversity and biosecurity. Horizons plays a varied and integral role in the environment, if the future of our region is important to you then standing or voting in the 2022 local elections should be too.

To gain a more in-depth understanding of the area we cover and work we do visit the about section of our website.
