The Enviroschools programme aims to equip our youth with the competencies they need to be leaders in sustainability. The Pat Kelly fund is only open to official Enviroschools in the Horizons Region. Funding criteria is very broad but should link in some way to the Enviroschools kaupapa. Examples of projects funded in 2022 include purchasing of fruit trees to set up a school/community orchards; funding towards a new glasshouse; and purchasing of worm farms or recycling bins to tackle waste streams.
