Closed Pūtea Hapori Urupare Āhuarangi - Community Climate Response Fund

Every journey starts with a step. That’s what this fund does, enabling groups to take steps, to do something to respond to challenges brought by a changing climate. Any project that builds resilience to climate change for us or the environment, raises awareness, reduces carbon emissions or does all those things probably qualify.

Applications open March annually.

Since 2022, we’ve funded community gardens, kai security projects and maara kai. We’ve enabled DIY bike repair in schools and encourage active transport. We’ve assisted recycling projects, seen whenua revitalised and taonga species protected, and the list goes on.
