While our public transport services get a lot of attention, we also support a range of community services. Many of these services support people who need to travel across the Horizons Region to medical appointments.

Horowhenua District
Foxton Beach Community Centre Van
Foxton Beach Community Centre operates six health shuttles, with one equipped with a wheelchair hoist.
Travel Monday - Friday from Foxton Beach to the following locations: Foxton, Levin, Shannon, Himatangi, Waitarere, Palmerston North, and Wellington.
Pricing (all for return trips):
Palmerston North: $25
Levin: $15
Foxton: $10

Horowhenua Community Health Shuttle
Each weekday the Horowhenua Community Health Shuttle service provides five return trips between Levin and Palmerston North. This allows users of all ages to attend medical appointments at Palmerston North Hospital or nearby clinics. Plus, on Saturdays it transports dialysis patients for treatments.
Manawatū District
Rural Bus Manawatū
Rural Bus Manawatū is an on-demand service connecting Manawatū and Rangitīkei rural communities to Aorangi Feilding and Papioea Palmerston North.
The service has van seating for 11 people, along with a luggage trailer to transport mobility aids and purchases. Up to four people can travel from the same pick-up address and pay only one fare. Pricing changes depending on where you live.

Hato Hone St John Health Shuttle - Feilding & Palmerston North
The Hato Hone St John Health Shuttle is a community service transporting people to and from health appointments. It is a volunteer-delivered ride-share service with wheelchair capability.
The shuttle operates Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays). There is no set fee, although a koha (donation) is appreciated.

Hato Hone St John Health Shuttle - Dannevirke and Pahiatua
The Hato Hone St John Health Shuttle is a community service transporting people to and from health appointments. It is a volunteer-delivered ride-share service with wheelchair capability.
The shuttle operates Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays). There is no set fee, although a koha (donation) is appreciated.

Rangitīkei District
Rural Bus Manawatū
Initially founded as an on-demand service to connect rural Manawatū to Feilding, Rural Bus Manawatū expanded at the end of 2025 to service Rangitīkei and to offer Palmerston North as a destination.

Taumarunui Mobility Van
The Taumarunui Mobility Van provides transport for people with disabilities. It is wheelchair accessible and runs on weekdays. There is no set fee, although a koha (donation) is encouraged.
